I...I too purchased a Beeman dual caliber air rifle. In the beginning, I wasn't impressed with it at all. However after speaking to a friend of mine who has alot of knowledge on air rifles, I became more determined.
Both the RS series rifle, and the Sportsman series rifles, are ones that take some patience. I don't like Chinese made products myself, however, of the 4 Beeman's I own, I have no complaints. I've read this entire blog, and I will try and touch on many of the complaints that have been mentioned, as well as some of my own that I have encountered.
First, price.. for what you get, I believe it is a good deal. As for power.... More than I expected out of an air rifle that is rated at 800 fps for .22 Cal. and 1000 fps for .177.
One complaint that is repeatedly mentioned in this blog is accuracy. I too had a problem in the beginning. I asked about it several times, and come to find out there is a known "break in" period for these rifles. They tend to shoot what most would say is "all over the place" for about the first 200-500 shots. After that you will definitely see the difference. I was told that not only do the seals need to break in, but so does the rifling in the barrel.
As for the optics and sights... We'll let's just say that the open sights leave alot to be desired. Loose, sloppy, and forever moving. If you want to use them and don't want them to keep moving, find the spot where you are accurate with them, and place a drop of super glue on the adjustment screws. Otherwise swap them out for metal sights. As for the scopes, they come with 2 different forms from what I have discovered. One is a cheap Chinese no name scope that consistently changes, and a scope with the word "Beeman" printed on it. The one with Beeman printed on it is the one I have found to be the better of stock scopes on them. Now, because the air rifle has the amount of force and vibration that it does when fired, I've found it best to use a little loctite on the mounting screws. I have had really good luck on all of my rifles by doing this. I only swapped out two of the stock scopes for decent variable powered scopes, and that was only for distance shooting on smaller targets.
These rifles diesel, smoke, and shoot all over the place straight out of the box. However, with a little bit of time and patience, they are a very accurate and powerful air rifle. I have killed everything from mice, all the way up to adult beavers that were doing damage to our trees by our pond.
The only complaint I have over the years of owning all of mine, is the rattle of the connecting bar connected to the cocking mechanism, and the front sight post being so large. Otherwise I really don't have any complaints. I can keep 1/2-3/4" groups at 50 yds on my .22 calibers, and 1" groups on my .177's at 50 yds.
One point I will pass along so you don't make the same mistake I did, DO NOT place oil in the forehand piece on the spring seal! It will blow the seal Everytime. It is not a fix that I want to ever have to do again as the spring in there is a bear to work with.
Be patient and stay positive, and over time I hope you too are as happy as I am with my Beeman air rifles.
Be safe and enjoy!
Semper Fi.Mercilessnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-79273322046405472722020-03-07T16:58:45.569-08:002020-03-07T16:58:45.569-08:00Sitting any amount of time,as well as the conditio...Sitting any amount of time,as well as the conditions of the area where it was sitting, the seal within has probably dry rotted and not sealing any longer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-10917525152462471622018-09-15T16:12:14.319-07:002018-09-15T16:12:14.319-07:00Many thanks This is your friendly approach for oth...
Many thanks This is your friendly approach for other readers as helping and learning point of view.
Click Here : farm tractors for sale 260-60 HP TURBOEmily Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01746320358988998120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-81111528588300569002018-06-20T10:23:47.203-07:002018-06-20T10:23:47.203-07:00I am 65 years old ,

It would probably be more accurate that way.
PS. In the past 20 years I have shot competition smallbore and large bore rifles. (the Chinese are notorious for NOT building to spec and crappy metallurgy) After several hundred pellets- re-tightening the barrel & scope rings its beginning to group better. The last pellet gun I tossed in the trash. This may end up there but I would like one non-firearm to plink with so am giving it the benefit of doubt. Accuracy is improving (22 cal) with more pellets. The trigger is beyond the worst I have ever seen. I keep hearing the hype on velocity- NOTHING is as important as accuracy. Velocity is a gimmick.
Next is to tear apart the trigger and see if improvements can be made. Not holding my breath. for a cheap plinker it may have some merit. Best bet is spend more cash on a better American made product. I have Gamo .177 rifles with work done to them, trigger jobs, mil dot scopes, seals, springs upgraded, I've always wanted a .22 so I got the Beeman. So far I've changed the scope to a UTG mil dot, changed to a heavy 4 bolt scope ring system for the recoil, and removed the sights completely, put a custom flash suppressor (home made) on the end of the .22 barrel. So far I've only shot it 3 times because it's pretty loud and powerful (shooting in a residential back yard). Have not had a chance to sight it in but it feels like a quality rifle compared to the Gamo. Give them cheap specs and suffer the result! My Beeman RS2 was inaccurate out of the box, but a few minutes at 40 feet, then a few more at 100, and finally at 150 got the sights sorted out and it has been accurate ever since. However, typically I don't use a scope and have yet to try it...maybe one day. Meanwhile I compare my Beeman RS2 to my Crossman Shockwave (also mane in China). The Crossman's Nitro system seems better, quieter and more solid than the Beeman's spring. If the Crossman was 2" longer (the length of the Beeman) I would select the Crossman every day of the week. Both are accurate over 150', I haven't bothered with a scope on either rifle and both are fun. The Crossman is lighter which is a bonus when bushwalking. It's a shame that there appears to be no real solution to shoulder straps for either rifle.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13571848699649387618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-41120188938806091372017-06-05T23:16:50.467-07:002017-06-05T23:16:50.467-07:00Thank you for taking the time and effort to put th...Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this article together air rifle reviewsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07205811263275829220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-18404446029063836282017-06-05T23:12:41.667-07:002017-06-05T23:12:41.667-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07205811263275829220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-33384264620259076982017-05-31T00:38:37.348-07:002017-05-31T00:38:37.348-07:00The safe and trigger feel like they are working ok...The safe and trigger feel like they are working ok but the trigger will not release. air rifle reviews There is no resistance when cocking now and I do not see the spring in the slot when I remove the stock.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01122588320123844479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8681174742697777820.post-26176335981430202092017-04-28T20:40:44.840-07:002017-04-28T20:40:44.840-07:00Nice articles.
